Collaborations

I actively engage with others both inside and outside academia and welcome opportunities to work with international organisations, NGOs, and social movements.
I am co-convenor of the World Government Research Network, along with Luis Cabrera and James Thompson, and serve on the International Advisory Board of Democracy Without Borders.
I also serve on the International Advisory Board of Global Governance, Trust and Democratic Engagement, Past and Present, a collaborative international project with research teams based in Canada, Switzerland, the UK and the US, that traces popular engagement with bodies that sought to regulate or resolve global matters from the aftermath of the First World War to the early 2000s. By recovering the past relationship between political participation, democracy and international institutions, the project seeks to better understand how global cooperative mechanisms might be re-imagined in the present.
I have led and taught on several courses and seminars for and with activists and movements. I led the Youth Summer Seminar on World Federalism and Global Democracy for the World Federalist Movement, co-led the Global Democracy and Justice Course for One World, and taught on the Global Development Course for Ethical Events.
I have carried out consultancies for many NGOs, including the Fairtrade Foundation, Ethical Trading Initiative, SNV, CARE International, Global Diversity Foundation, FARM-Africa, SOS-Sahel, Sustainable Livelihood Action, Forum for Environment, The Environment Council. and the International Rescue Committee (IRC).
If you are interested in collaborating with me in any way, please get in touch.
